Great race. Lovely morning for it. Any Chance of a second laptop for registering the registered runners? Hope the man at the start of the race was ok who got his glasses broke? There was a fair bit of a cut on his face.

I was one of those who took the advice to arrive early and had to endure a TWO HOUR wait for the race to start. Why make allowances for people who can't arrive on time? Dangerously crowded with latecomers at the start, not surprised someone got hurt. Hopefully just a rusty start to another great season.

In fairness, from what I saw/heard the delay in the registered queue seemed to be down to people 'thinking' they were registered and weren't. The form has been available since December: sending it in at the last minute, or not at all, and expecting to be in the BHAAs system is nobodies fault but the person themself or their team Secretary, but then everyone behind them has to pay for their mistake/assumption. Top race though, once it got started.

Great morning for a race. Nice fast course which you have to run smart and not attack the first 2 miles too hard or you wont recover fast enough to take advantage of return trip downhill.

Hopefully there will be an extra registration desk in the hall for the same race in 3 weeks time so race wont be delayed by 30mins.

And the pace of Rob, wow! I gave it socks for the last 400m and he still beat me by 3 seconds!

This & the Janssen race are great races & the Organisers cannot be held at fault for the queues. Even the delay at the start is not an issue as most people know at least a few of the runners & can have a chat before the serious business starts.

Of course the organisers are responsible and the same thing happened last year.Races need to start on time regardless.more registration desks obviously needed.

Is the Yanson race in 3 weeks time the same route again ya?
