Gardai marathon runners catch jewel thief in Tralee

According to media sources, there was a robbery of a jewelry shop in Tralee during the week. After snatching a tray of ring in the shop, the thief was subsequently chased by four Garda officers who had recently completed the Dublin City Marathon.

A spokesperson for the Gardai said that a 31 year old man had been charged with an offence relating to the robbery of the shop on Dominic Street and all items of jewellery were recovered. According to the store owner Billy Nolan, the "thief did not have a chance".
