It might be worth pointing out that there are always going to be some errors in any race with so many people running. Even those with chip timing are not faultless.

If anyone is not listed in the results then they should contact the organisers with their approximate finishing time and position.

Over 800 people is a large number but in fairness this is 2012 and surely chip timiing should be used in such an important event; after all this is meant to be the flagship Bhaa race. 5 days for results?

After getting the standard mail yesterday from the BHAA saying the results for C2C were up, I was delighted...I couldn't wait to see where I came over-all, how many ran, the winners time etc...

Then I actually scrolled down the mail to see the very humbling comments of appreciation the organisers had for everyone involved, from stewards to runners, van drivers etc., when the reality is we should be Thanking them.

I only running since Jan 2008 (Quite similar to Ger's story from the recent "Ultra Report", for health reasons). When the weighing scales hit 16.5 stone the light came on in my head and I havn't looked back since...Cork to Cobh was my target for that year and I will never forget the feeling I had when I crossed the line. "You've just ran a 15 mile road race"...I kept repeating those words for days afterwards...9 months previous to that I wouldn't have walked out of my own way...

Without such a race I wouldn't have the target to aim for. This year was my 3rd time doing C2C and have improved by almost 7 mins from 2008...

This is a truly fantastic race, organised really well, so cheap its nearly embarrassing and I can't wait for next year...

Rgds Ian

(I appreciate the frustration someone would feel if their name is missing bit I'm sure the BHAA will happily amend any error made in the results if they are contacted.)

Is there any such thing as a spell check with the BHAA before they release the results. They do it all the time and it looks terrible amateur.I lost count at a hundred.

Don't mind the wait but why no bib numbers in the results, Would be nice if they could include them as I presume that they have them as they mapped them to the names. I don't know everyone at the clubs full name.

To spell check guy, you might want to study your own text before posting in future. For the love of God have ye nothing left to complain about.

Saddened
Tom.

Chip Timing....Chip timing would certainly have meant a higher entry fee and I think most people are quite content to wait the five days for the results.

Bib numbers.....As the results are done manually, including bib numbers would have meant just more work for the person compiling them. Bib numbers are irrelevant to most people.

for anyone displeased with the BHAA Cork/Cobh race might I suggest you enter the Cork/Carrigaline run. Chip timing and I'd assume bib numbers will be posted in the results and that there will be no spelling mistakes.
All this for the princely sum of €45.

What do people want for a tenner?.
