Did Dunmanway yesterday too, very well organised and marshalled race. I ran the Cork marathon in 2009 and 2010, this was my first smaller run and I thoroughly enjoyed it and will do a lot more shorter races like this in the future. Well done to all involved.

My time is some 30 seconds slower than my watch time also. Strange. Nice to see that they gave all the walkers a time even though a handful of walkers magically appeared around the leading pack with a few miles to go

my time was correct
the walkers started 30mins before the runners
great event, well organised and the support was great along the way

@Anonomous 10:46, I know the walkers started early, I'm saying a number of additional walkers finished the race than started it.

This event was very well organised- the registration process, getting to start, marshalls on course, the music on the route, the finish etc. the teas and treats made this run on a very hot day worthwhile. There was a great atmosphere there too. I will be back to support this race again, but i am also glad to be supporting a most worthwhile charity.

Great race. Have run this both last year and this year and it's one of the nicest races on the calendar. The course is more fun than fast – lots of ups and downs, bends, narrow roads etc. - very entertaining!

The only small problem I had was that, as one of the earlier runners through, I found it difficult to negotiate some of the walkers when I caught up with them on the narrow roads around the 4-5 mile mark. As a runner, when you're out on your feet late on in a race, its difficult to muster even the mental energy to figure out how to go around people at that stage! It might be no harm if the organisers could ask them maybe to "keep right" so that runners can get past them on the narrow bits, rather than walking 4-abreast and taking up the width of the road.
