Running in Cork website hits new peak in visitor numbers...
This website has reached a new peak in traffic numbers with over 20,000 hits for the month of April. The previous peak was in June of last year around the time of the 2009 Cork City Marathon & Relay. The current level of traffic is about 50% up compared to this time last year.

Considering that there was no major event in April, the numbers might seem a bit suprising? I can only assume that much of the increased traffic may be coming from new runners who found the website around the time of the Ballycotton '10' and kept coming back?

Whatever the reason, surely the fact that so many people are visiting this site is a good sign that the numbers attending races over the coming summer months might hold up if not increase.

We'll see...

You're too modest John. Race and entry information is available from many sources, we check in here to get info and a little commentary which is unique to your blog.

I'm not one bit surprised that so many people are looking at this blog regularly. Even though it's mainly about Cork runs, a lot of the West Waterford ones get covered too. All contributions are unbiased, and the only agenda appears to be giving us runners information. I have the site saved in "Favourites" and give a quick look every day. I also enjoy the surveys and newspaper articles, it gives us food for thought. Well done!
